Learn to Play Piano Junior Method 1A-Wendys Music Digital

$9.99

Description

The Learn to Play Junior Musos edition is a Wendy’s Music Program introducing children from 6-11 years to the basics of playing their instrument. This book is part of a unique Wendy’s Music program which includes:

Learning to play: practical with correct techniques.

Performing: achieving a level of playing and confidence to perform independently or with others for an audience.

Theory: reading, writing, and understanding music notation fluently.

Ear Training: developing the ability to listen and understand musical content and performance issues.

Creating: via improvisation and composing.

A variety of musical styles are incorporated in the music used in this series. By the end of the program, participants should feel equipped to proceed in any or all musical styles as they prefer.

To get the most benefit from this or any musical program, you need to dedicate regular time to play and review concepts and tunes each day for a few minutes or more if you can. Or if your time is limited, at least 3-4 times a week of a slightly longer duration. As with other skills, the amount of time you put into the repetition of the skill will determine the speed at which you progress.

It is equally important to attempt all areas such as the “Create”, “Listening”, “Sight-reading”, “Theory” and flashcard activities to achieve a full picture of the musical possibilities available. These will then be recorded on your certificate at the end of the book.

As you progress through the book, your teacher will mark the “play at home boxes” to ensure you remember to review all the areas covered in your sessions, then cross them through when complete. This will make your progress easy to track!

STAGE 1 introduces you to:

Finding notes on your instrument                               Techniques of playing

Reading basic rhythms                                              Exploring dynamics

Reading a small selection of notes                             Understanding and using intervals

For some instruments chords will be explained           Playing tetrachords and triads

I hope this program starts you on a long and enjoyable musical journey. Remember,
the results depend on your effort!

Yours musically

Wendy
