MUSIC LESSONS

Music lessons at Wendy’s Music are offered with a range of lesson formats because not everyone wants to learn the same way!

Take a look at my individual live online and my Self paced online Music Courses. In all cases, you have the opportunity to contact Wendy for a casual online lesson or to have a quick question answered. You’re never left to try and work it out yourself!

Which lesson is best for me?

Online lessons provide convenience. No travel time or costs, and you get to play your own instruments. You can even have your music lesson wearing your pajamas if it makes you more comfortable. Lessons online make the most of up-to-date technology. Teachers can share a screen for an Ipad app, or digital sheet music. Some teachers have more than one camera so you get to see their face AND their instrument.

In-person, lessons work if you are located in easy traveling distance of the music teacher. Being face-to-face can allow teachers to be a little more “up close and personal” when it comes to things like technique. A bow can be realigned, your instrument tuned, or your posture realigned for you and, so on. Of course, this can also be done via an online lesson, however, your teacher would need to show and describe the change to you.You need to be able to follow instructions without your teacher able to physically move your hand, etc.

A self-paced music course allows you the freedom to learn when and what suits you best. Our courses also enable you to book casual lessons with a teacher. Therefore you can overcome any areas of concern and build your confidence. Teaching yourself to play a musical instrument takes time. Our self-paced courses mean you can choose the times that work for you to spend on playing and learning.
