My Teaching Philosophy
My philosophy is to encourage students to love music as well as learn it – once you start to love what you play the feeling never goes away. I want to show my students that learning music should never be a chore and is super fun, but does require a lot of hard work and plenty of discipline. I strive to teach students how to reach their potential through passion and hopefully inspire them to do the same!

What makes you want to be a music teacher?
Music is food for the soul and it is meant to be felt! If I am able to spread the joy that music has given me, then there’s no greater reward in being a teacher than that in itself.

Awards I have received include:
Gary Lechte Music Scholarship (2010)

Community Spirit and Leadership Award from the Casey Council (2012)

South Eastern Arts Festival (2013) – Australian Composer Award (2nd place) and Piano Duet 18 and Under (Winners)

My Favorite Artists, Bands, Composers, Pieces of Music are:
I love me some classical music! I’m a huge fan of Gershwin, Joplin, Chopin, Rachmaninoff and Tchaikovsky just to name a few!

My favorite bands are Queen, The Beatles, and Panic! at the Disco and my favourite piece of music (as of right now) is Tchaikovsky’s Swan Lake ????
